Whispp Honored as One of the Most Promising Startups at the Gerard & Anton Awards 2024
Whispp was recognized as one of the ten most promising startups at the Gerard & Anton Awards 2024, celebrating innovation in Brainport Eindhoven.
Yesterday, Whispp had the honor of attending the tenth presentation of the Gerard & Anton Awards, an event celebrating the innovative spirit of the Brainport Eindhoven region. This milestone year marked the recognition of the 100th winner, with over 300 visitors gathering at the sold-out event at the High Tech Campus.
As highlighted by our wonderful hosts, Beatrix Bos and Bert-Jan Woertman, the evening was a celebration of both the progress and promise of the startup community:
“We have rightly had a lot of attention in recent months on the content and consequences of Project Beethoven. But now it is time to let the allegro of the startup community follow that composer’s andante!”
Whispp was proud to be recognized as one of the ten most promising startups for our contributions and potential in advancing assistive voice technology. The selection process was highly competitive, with over seventy exceptional candidates showcasing the strength of innovation in the region. As jury chairman Stijn Steenbakkers remarked, “Certainly half of them could have been on stage in the same way.”
Congratulations to our fellow winners:
VitalFluid B.V.

We also extend heartfelt thanks to our lead investor, LUMO Labs, and the entire Whispp community for their ongoing support.

After losing his natural voice to laryngeal cancer, Roger Gillespie found a new way to connect using Whispp. On World Voice Day 2025, we share his story — a reminder of how assistive voice technology can help restore not just speech, but connection, confidence, and joy.
At Inclusive Innovations 2024, Whispp demonstrated how our real-time assistive voice technology makes communication accessible for everyone.
