Whispp uses audio-to-audio based AI, allowing us to convert soft or affected speech into loud and clear speech in a voice of your choice. To use Whispp you only need a mobile phone and an internet connection.

You can find a collection of tutorial videos that will guide you through the entire Whispp app in this YouTube playlist.

Whispp’s real-time voice technology works for all languages but you can ‘tune’ your accent. For example: let’s say you speak English and select the French voice. The English Whispp conversion is very intelligible but sounds with a French accent.

Currently, Whispp’s ability to make calls to phone numbers is limited to certain countries. When your country is (not yet) supported for making calls with Whispp, you can still try out Whispp’s other features. If the recipient of your call also installs the Whispp app, it allows you to make app-to-app calls (currently only on iOS, coming soon to Android).

Before attempting to make a call, you should check if your Whispp app is up to date. If your app is not up to date, please update your app.

To make calls with Whispp you need to be located in one of the following countries:

The Whispp app is available to be downloaded for free. Within the app you can use our voice and video messaging functionality for free for an unlimited amount of times. Upon the creation of an account within the app you will also get 30 minutes of calling for free. If you want to make more phone calls you can choose one of our 3 paid plans in the app.

The recipient of your call does not have to install the Whispp app on their phone. However there are benefits to them installing the Whispp app, like being able to see your name as the caller, being able to make app-to-app calls and being able to make video calls with each other (currently only on iOS, coming soon to Android).

Yes! The Whispp app also supports real-time video calling (currently only on iOS, coming soon to Android), the recipient does need to have the Whispp app installed.

Whispp is currently available as a mobile app for both iOS and Android phones. The desktop version of Whispp is being developed.

For Whispp, your articulation quality should be good enough but It doesn’t matter how your voice sounds. Whispp works for al kinds of voice disabilities and voice types, ranging from soft whispers to rough esophageal speech. Your Whispp voice even sounds like natural speech when you use an Electrolarynx. Whispp is designed to enhance your ability to communicate effectively. The success of Whispp can differ individually, but it performs optimally for those who can articulate relatively clear.

To get the most out of our speech conversion you can try the following tips:

Deliberate Whispering: For stuttering and certain voice disorders like Spasmodic Dysphonia, deliberately steering the voice towards whispering makes you speak much more relaxed and more fluently.

Clear Articulation: To use Whispp your articulation should be relatively clear

Microphone Position: Hold your phone’s microphone about 5-10 cm in front of your mouth for optimal sound capture.

Quiet Environment: Ensure you are using the app in a quiet environment to minimize background noise interference.

No worries! For most of Whispp’s features such as voice messages and calling. You don’t need a recording of your previous voice because we have a list of preset choices you can choose from.

Recordings of your old voice are only necessary for creating a personalised voice in Whispp, specifically if you have lost your own voice and wish to use it within the Whispp app.

To use Whispp we only require you to have an Android or iOS device with the Whispp app installed and a connection to the internet.
