Why can't I make calls?

Currently, Whispp’s ability to make calls to phone numbers is limited to certain countries. To ensure a seamless experience, we recommend that the recipient of your call also installs the Whispp app, allowing you to make app-to-app calls (on iOS).

Before attempting to make a call, you should check if your Whispp app is up to date. If your app is not up to date, please update your app.

To make calls with Whispp you need to be located in one of the following countries:

Whispp is designed with the elderly in mind. The app is easy to use and easy to install.

What are the costs associated with using Whispp for my patients?

The Whispp app is available for free. Within the app your patients can use our voice messaging functionality an unlimited amount of times. Upon creation of their account they will also get free credits to try out Whispp calls.

Whether you face challenges speaking loudly, have a voice disability, or stutter, Whispp is designed to enhance your ability to communicate effectively. The success of Whispp can differ individually, but it performs optimally for those who can articulate relatively clear.

How can I optimally use Whispp?

Clear Articulation: To use Whispp your articulation should be relatively clear

Deliberate Whispering: For stuttering and certain voice disorders like Spasmodic Dysphonia, deliberately steering the voice towards whispering makes you speak much more relaxed and more fluently.

Microphone Position: Hold your phone’s microphone about 5-15 cm in front of your mouth for optimal sound capture.

Quiet Environment: Ensure you are using the app in a quiet environment to minimize background noise interference.

Do I need a recording of my old voice?

No worries! For most of Whispp’s features, such as voice messages and calling, you don’t need a recording of your previous voice. All you need to start using Whispp is the ability to whisper and maintain clear articulation.

Recordings of your old voice are only necessary for creating a personalised voice in Whispp, specifically if you have lost your old voice and wish to recreate it within our app.

Do I need any additional equipment?

To use Whispp we only require you to have an Android or iOS device with the Whispp app installed and a connection to the internet.
